Privacy policy

Brownsville Crane Service is a free quote-request service. When you use the quote form we collect what you type into it: the kind of job, the job site town and address, the load weight, height and distance, the ground and power lines, dates and duration, who runs the crane, your name, company, phone, email, how you want to be contacted, your language, and any notes.

The form also records the page you landed on and the website you came from, so we can tell which pages bring requests. That is kept in your browser for the visit and sent with the form.

If you message us on WhatsApp or by email instead, we receive what you send, including your phone number or email address and any photos.

We use your request for one purpose: to pass it to local crane operators who may quote the job, and to answer you about it. The operators who receive it are independent businesses. They contact you directly and handle your details under their own practices once they have them.

We don't sell your details to advertisers or mailing lists.

FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) carries the form to us. When you press send, your answers go to FormSubmit, which emails them to us. It acts as our processor for that step.

WhatsApp, if you choose it, is run by Meta. A WhatsApp message is handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. Email passes through your mail provider and ours.

Google Fonts serves the typeface for this site, so your browser asks Google's servers for it and Google sees your IP address as part of that request.

Cloudflare Pages hosts the site and, like any host, keeps ordinary server logs of visits.

The site can use Google Analytics to count visits: pages viewed, rough location and device type. When it is switched on, it sets cookies in your browser. The quote form itself sets no cookies; it uses temporary browser storage for the landing page and referrer described above, which clears when you close the tab.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.

We keep requests for as long as we need them to follow up and to answer questions about a quote. To ask us to delete your request or to see what we hold, use the button below and say which request you mean. We will remove it from our records. We can't delete what an operator has already received, so you would need to ask that operator directly.
